Ivanhoe library has recently received a volume of edited speeches, small biography and photos of Esmond Laurence Kiernan who represented the Melbourne North Province in the Victorian Upper House between 1919 and 1940. Kiernan was a resident of Heidleberg and a street in Ivanhoe is named for him.
