In 2003 the State Government approved the Diamond Creek Management Plan to promote the long-term sustainability of Diamond Creek.
The plan outlines how water in the catchment should be shared between the environment, agriculture, and domestic and stock users. It was developed with key stakeholders such as the Department of Sustainability and Environment and licensed water-users. The plan was published by Melbourne Water
Copies are now available at Eltham and Diamond Valley libraries in the Local History Collections.
