Draft Yarra Strategic Plan
The draft Yarra Strategic Plan was released for public comment on 23 January 2020. It is now online for comment. 16 organisations who care for Yarra River lands are part of the Yarra collaboration committee, led by Melbourne Water and include Banyule City Council and Nillumbik Shire Council. The Yarra Strategic Plan is to give effect to a long-term community vision for the river and once completed will provide an integrated river plan that will enable the collaborative management of the River and its parklands across public agencies. Visit the Departments of Environment, Land, Water and Planning and access the Draft Yarra Strategic Plan and proceed to make a public submission. Visit our catalogue to access books and photos on the Yarra River in the library's collection, many of which are in local history collections.
