Heidelberg Town Hall 70th anniversary

2007 marks the 70th Anniversary of the opening of the Heidelberg Town Hall (currently known as The Centre Ivanhoe). This local landmark has been the centre for many community celebrations since its opening in 1937.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, the Centre will be open to the public on Sunday, 29th April 2007.
Learn more about the history of this iconic building and the people who have danced, played and worked within its walls over the past 70 years. View a display commemorating the building’s history or go on a tour behind the scenes at the Centre.

WE WANT YOUR MEMORIES OF THE HEIDELBERG TOWN HALL
Banyule City Council is seeking photographs or other material that relates to community attendance at events at the Heidelberg Town Hall over the years. We are especially interested in images or memorabilia of debutante balls, dances, birthdays and other functions from 1937 - 1970 for possible use in a display on the Centre’s open day on Sunday 29th April 2007.
