Loyal Diamond Lodge Hotel






An interesting photo from our Diamond Valley Digitisation Project
The Loyal Diamond Lodge Hotel was built in 1867, on the corner of Collins and Main Streets, Diamond Creek, this building was completely demolished 24 hours after this photo was taken in 1968. Demolition was necessary for the widening of Main Street in 1970. Note that the iron covered a shingle roof which can be seen on the weatherboard section on the left.
