November is Local History Month

Yarra Plenty Regional Library is looking forward to hosting various speakers as part of celebrating local history month in November

Events will be of interest to both local and family history researchers as well as the local community.

ANZACS of Greensborough

Join Greensborough College Teacher Felicity Williams as she recounts her research on those from the Greensborough district who enlisted in World War 1 and the one man from Greensborough who died in the Korean Campaign. Felicity has toured Korea and Gallipoli as part of the Victorian Premier’s Spirit of ANZAC competition.

Visit the Farming in the Plenty Valley: an historical view exhibition
In partnership with Whittlesea Cultural Heritage program
Photrographic display depicting early farming practices that were carried out within the Plenty valley. Produce from the Plenty Valley supported the development of early Melbourne and was once considered Melbourne's food bowl.
