Digitising World War 1 Victorian Newspapers

The Statewide Public Library Development Project is focused on digitising Victorian newspapers between 1914 and 1918 in time for the centenary of World War 1 in 2014.
The 37 newspaper titles selected in November 2011 are now available online through Trove.
Victoria has well over 100 individual newspaper titles online through Trove, which is a fantastic body of digitised work.
The following newspaper titles relate directly to our library service area:
Advertiser (Hurstbridge, Vic. : 1922 - 1939)
Eltham and Whittlesea Shires Advertiser (Vic. : 1940 - 1942)

Heidelberg News and GreensboroughEltham and Diamond Creek Chronicle (Vic. : 1916 - 1918)

For titles outside our library service area; see the list of all Victorian titles
As a way of promoting the wonderful range of newspaper titles already available, there are articles being created on Wikipedia with links to the Trove website, for example Evelyn Observer
People are encouraged to modify, enhance or create a new entry.
