Nillumbik Historical Society hold its May Open Day this Sunday, 1 May with special guest speaker Dr Jim Poulter.
2pm – 4pm at Ellis Cottage, Diamond Creek (off street parking via Memory Lane from Hurstbridge-Main Road, Diamond Creek, opposite Nillumbik Nursery).
Dr Poulter is the author of many books including Little Bloody Jimmy: the ripples of my childhood, Sharing Heritage in Kulin Country, The Secret of Dreaming and more which will be on sale on the day.
Dr Poulter will speak about Australian grazier, entrepreneur and explorer John Batman.
